We have safe walking routes into our temporary home and bike storage facilities for students and staff who live locally to Jemmett Road. We offer the full range of sport and extra-curricular clubs that you would expect at a secondary school, including taking part in local sports fixtures. That does not mean we are not understanding and supportive, we repeatedly get told that a student who moved to us as they struggled in another school is happier and/or behaving better with us. We make no apology for expecting students to behave well and for expecting parents/carers to support us in that expectation. The benefit of being part of United Learning is that we get to share resources and experiences from a chain of successful schools in a way that benefits us as a small school. An educational trust with charitable status that runs more than 60 state schools across England, as well as independent schools.

Fundamentally, our curriculum is never finished, and we are constantly refining and adapting our provision to achieve these principles and meet the needs of our students. Our overriding aim is that this curriculum liberates and empowers, providing students with the confidence to understand and shape the world around them, to be active and economically self-sufficient citizens, and to ‘enter into the conversation of mankind’ (Michael Oakeshott). The foot has a long history and has been used as a unit of measurement for thousands of years. The foot is defined as 12 inches, and it is a constituent of larger units such as yards, and miles. A measurement foot, commonly referred to as a foot, is a unit of length in the imperial system of measurement. The centimeter is commonly used for measuring small distances, such as the length of objects or the height of individuals. It is equal to one hundredth of a meter, making it a smaller unit of measurement compared to a meter.
The centimeter is part of the metric system, adopted in most countries nowadays. Currently the US is the only country which prefers using the foot in preference to the meter in commerce, engineering and standardization of all kinds. It was a part of many local systems of units, including the Greek, Roman, Chinese, French, and English systems of measurement. The origin of using the unit of foot is unclear as it goes very far back, likely before writing was invented.
